Pop-Up Market Fort Worth Recap
I'd like to thank all who attended August's Pop-Up Market on Saturday. Despite the heat, the new hours provided relief while setting up and selling from my handmade jewelry booth. I was fortunate to get a tent site that backed up to a tree for a little shade this month. The live music was great, and although we didn't have any Thriller zombies in attendance this month, I was surprised to see two unlikely guests! My daughter, Jessica is now 4 months, and enjoys being outside meeting people. She's definitely a conversation starter! Another attention getter is my collection of American landscape photographs that I've made into greeting cards. The Cape Cod images always seem to draw people in, but I've met war veterans who enjoy my scenes of the Vietnam War Memorial wall and local WWII planes. As an Army veteran myself, I love to talk with them. My Pop-Up neighbor this month, MoonbowMetalArt (on Etsy)who specializes in beautiful metal artwork of sea creatures, recognized my Portland area photos and we enjoyed conversation about the gorgeous scenery there. I have my eye on his whale art...I'm going to have it hanging on my wall one day. I may not be at the market next month...but I will post an update, and some new projects between now and then.
